Does that sound right? I don’t know, who cares, but what song(s) are you currently obsessed with? For me I keep listening to I’ll Cry Instead , Everybodys Got Something To Hide Except Me and My Monkey, and Ticket To Ride . Maybe I’m just on a John kick, but his voice is so different and enjoyable in all three of these tunes. I just can’t get over John’s shouts in the background of My Monkey and the absolute coolness of his voice in the other two. I’ve sort of ignored the number one hits for a little while, but I would have to say that Ticket To Ride has to be their best song ever, the change of tempo in it is just perfect.

I have been listening to Happiness Is A Warm Gun , Dear Prudence , You Can’t Do That , I’m Only Sleeping , and I’m A Loser an awful lot lately.
I, too, am on a John kick, obviously.
Thursday night your stockings needed mending.

I learned the whole complete bass line for Come Together , so I’m very into that song right now. John sounds awesome here. I’ve also been digging George’s songs a ton lately – Love You To , Taxman …

A Hard Day’s Night album.. and Yellow Submarine .
Not Beatles related… Julian Lennon’s Photograph Smile and Master and Commander soundtrack. Although a friend of mine is testing a radio station so I’m listening to it and he’s into soundtracks *a lot*
Here comes the sun….. Scoobie-doobie……

Me three! Well, I just cooled down off of one. Girl, I’m Only Sleeping , Happiness… Time for a Paul kick now!
Non Beatles related, probably Wilco’s I Must Be High. I’m learning it on the guitar. They’re my modern day Beatles, if that makes any sense.
I now declare this bridge open!

I like Helter Skelter , I Am The Walrus , I Want You (She’s So Heavy), Come Together , and Savory Truffle. Those are the ones I can’t not listen to when I listen to music.

I’m still pretty jazzed from the concert, so I’ve been listening to Venus And Mars / Rock Show and Nineteen Hundred And Eighty Five . I’m sure I’ll get it over soon…
Ad hoc, ad loc, and quid pro quo! So little time! So much to know!

Martha My Dear (well, this is permanent- I’ve come to terms that this is probably my favourite Beatles song. …and I promised myself I’d never choose one!), I Don’t Wanna Spoil the Party, I Call Your Name , Blue Jay Way .
All quite diverse.

Martha My Dear and The Long And Winding Road always made me feel like a detective in NYC. I don’t know why, those songs just have those crime feel to them.

What? I mean, I would understand if it was something slow and blues but those songs are more of a different feeling.

HAH! I actually think I see where you’re comin’ from. The prominent bass line at the end of Martha My Dear always reminded me of watching someone. Strange, isn’t it.

The whole Help album has been dominating my iPod for a few days now, there are definately a lot of interesting songs that really show the sort of middle of the Beatles career. Musically, they were ready to explode but there are still the easy sort of ‘cos You Like Me Too Much and I like you’ lyrics that marked their earlier days.

I’m jealous.
And How Do You Do It ? I mean, do you get music sheets or you get the song by yourself?
